    Apr 10,  · EMI Records are very pleased to announce the release of Dr Feelgood’s seminal album ‘Down By The Jetty’ as a 2CD collector’s edition. 'Down By The Jetty' was the Feelgood's debut LP and it became an instant classic renowned for having a radical monoaural sound. However it was not their intention to make a mono record.

    Down by the Jetty is the debut album by Dr. Feelgood, released in January The band's Johnny Kidd & The Pirates influenced originals ("Keep It Out of Sight") appear alongside covers material like "Bonie Maronie" and "Tequila".. The album was a primary influence on The Strypes, covering "I'm A Hog For You Baby" on their debut album Snapshot. Paul Weller and Bob Geldof have also Genre: Rhythm and blues, rock and roll, pub rock.

    The LP reissue of this album is a must-own release - the opus, a magnificent first album, recorded in pure mono, has been transferred to vinyl in exemplary form, a clean, sharp, crunchy, close sound that recalls the sonic textures of the Rolling Stones' first album, even as they cross swords with the Stones' arch-rivals of the era, the Animals, with a superb version of 'Boom Boom'/5(97).

    This is the first album from 70's British Rock n Roll outfit Dr. Feelgood. It pretty much starts out as they went on - Feelgood, footapping, exuberant rock n roll, fronted by singer par excellence Lee Brilleaux backed by the tight rhythm section of John Sparks and the Big Figure, and the guitar of Wilko Johnson/5(90).

    DR FEELGOOD Down By The Jetty ( UK track MONO vinyl LP with A1U/B1U matrices, their debut album including the singles Roxette and She Does It Right. The fully laminated monochrome picture sleeve shows just a little age discolouration while the vinyl itself has minimal evidence of play and looks in near 'as new' condition UAS) more.
